Time is passing more quickly than we can imagine. We leave in three short days for a land far away! As you prepare for a trip like this, you find yourself working on all the tangible things – the dog being fed, bills being paid, the “to do” list, and the stacks of papers that somehow always show up. Today it occurred to me that the intangibles are what I need to focus on. Preparing my heart to be patient with the travel schedule, encouraging myself that we will speak into the lives of the teens we travel with, and most of all, to “put on” a heart of compassion for the lives we come into contact with.
